Win #302

Small victories can sometimes add up.  Win #302 came in the form of pizza, and locally as well, I hate to leave out a win just because it's small.  My local Pizzeria (I live in a tiny town with a pop of like 2,000 people) does lots of Facebook contests, I have actually won before and I think i didn't document it, oh well... ANYWAY, I guessed the NFL Football teams final score within 3 points, which from what I understand is actually a very hard skill to come by.  Because of that I scored a free pizza night!

Second Facebook win comes from commenting on Mastrads Facebook page, I won a delightful little ice cream scooper that works wonders, again i tossed my old busted one, at some point I'll just replace everything in my house with something I won!

It's been a while since I won a Facebook Giveaway.  Thanks to Quill.com on Facebook I was able to score a brand new cookware set, I requested blue and they did send me the blue ones!  They are ceramic on the inside and so non-stick I love them!  I actually threw away a bunch of pots and pans after I got this from them.  All i had to do was like and comment, it's just that easy sometimes!

The Coupon Clipinista posted in her instant wins section this awesome Skoal Sweeps where you can win new prizes each week.  I scored an awesome waves forever water bottle.  This is really an awesome and expensive bottle, I can't wait to get it.

Literally immediately after the last post I went to check up on the Coupon Clipinista on Facebook and found a new instant win, she claimed it was "HOT HOT HOT".  I went, I entered my info, I tried and I instantly won on the first try!  You need to go follow the Coupon Clipnista and then you can enter all the instant wins too, and get daily reminders from her!

It may be a small win but I need to tell you the big way that I am finding these sweeps.  I have started following Coupon Clipinista on Facebook and I can barely keep up with the Sweeps, Instant Wins, Free Samples and Promos that she posts all day long.  I used to sign up to a premium membership to OLS to help me find the instant wins and special high value sweeps from various companies but the Clipinista gives them away just for trafficking her website.  I just have to say you'd be a sweeping idiot to not follow her, like her and enter the contests and sites she recommends, it's truly like having a little sweeping angel to help you along!

I only grocery shop at Weis.  It's the only grocery store in my area, besides Wal-mart, but that doesn't make a difference.  They truly do have the best of everything I could want.  They have the best customer service, the best employees, the cleanest store, best produce, more amazing gas rewards program and a really good coupon policy.

That all being said I was super excited to see that Weis was hosting a fun social media marketing campaign and sweepstakes.  Weis gives you 10 cents off a gallon of gas for every $50 you spend at the store and there is no cap, meaning I can get my gas for free if I spend enough.  You also get your points pre coupons and discounts so if my total is $200 (which it often is feeding a family of 4), I get 40 cents off every gallon of gas (up to 20 gallons) even if after my coupons and discounts I can get that total to $95 bucks.  

So Weis asked us to take a selfie at the pump (participating gas station is Sheetz) and share it through their Facebook sweepstakes page.  They do a weekly drawing for a $25 gift card and the single grand prize winner win a year of free gas.  I entered for the free gas.  But I was super happy to get an email from their marketing coordinator that I had won one of the weekly $25 gift cards.  This is why I love my hobby, it's fun and rewarding.

I won something from the flairist blog a while back, I really nice piece of jewelry to be precise.  This was a contest for just their twitter and Facebook followers.  I almost feel like I stole this sweater from them because only 15 entries were received.  Maybe they are in need of a marketing/social media coordinator (wink wink). I winked because that's my job, stay with me people.

The flairist is actually a phenomenal blog/entity that focuses on young and inspirational women with goals and aspirations to become more.  I love their writers and I love their outlook.  Anything that inspires young women to be more empowered and teaches us how to take control of our lives, careers and self image is alright in my book.

So go check them out on Facebook and like them, it's worth it.

It's rare I score on Facebook, it's just a saturated market...  That being said I still throw in my hat a lot of the times for the companies that I follow.  Nashelle is one of those companies, they make adorable custom jewelry and they hosted a 12 days of Christmas giveaway that I happen to catch while working from home and tossed my comment into, low and behold I won one of these great initial bracelets.  So happy, a great little Facebook win to throw into the mix.  Go check them out and like them on Facebook.

I don't think as of now I have ever won a decent Facebook contest.  It makes me want to just stop sharing and commenting and bugging everyone with my shares and posts.  I did however comment on Del Montes Facebook page answering a question and wound up scoring a $75 gift card to the container store!  I can't wait to use it and get all organized.

Win #223 Thank God.

I say "thank God" because well, for two reasons.  Reason number one, as previously mentioned I have terrible OCD and the fact that my number of wins went that long at 222 is astounding to me.  I was this close to wearing a foil hat and locking myself indoors, I am making a pinchy gesture with my fingers right now to indicate that it was serious.  

Secondly I happen to win by quoting the bible!  How bout that, my title has two meanings, it makes me so happy.  I follow a lot of blogs and stores on Facebook because I enter things and love stuff so much that I click "like" possibly way too often.  The benefit of this is that I get to participate in fun things like "Name that verse Wednesday" from The Melted Crayon store on Etsy.  I happen to come in second place because I quoted Jude and not Ephesians but it so happens that their verses start in the same way so guess what, I still win!  

I ordered these two sets for my kids stockings and it was only $4.75 because of shipping.  I feel like today is obviously blessed, mostly because I can officially feel not anxious about the looming 222 that was on the blog.  PHEW!  Go check out The Melting Crayon because she is awesome and that is all.

Win #217, an Instant!

I haven't really had the time to play many instant win games anymore, it's too much to register and find them and I won't pay my premium subscription anymore to the website that let's me have the giant list of them.  I do however follow coupon cousins on Facebook and they have a free list of instant wins and even ist links to them so sometimes if they pop up in my feed I think, why not.

I scored today, well score something...  The instant win could be one of several prizes but they don't tell you what, you just get something in the mail.  So im on box watch for the next 10 weeks until I figure out what I won!

So I guess you create your own luck sometimes.  I blogged about how I felt guilty for winning so many Dial Kids coupons and they now just keep coming.  Chalk up number 4 for the Dial Kids wins for me please.  I won this time from Adventures of Super Mom!  She has to be one of my favorites by the way, I follow her Facebook page and she has me in stitches all the time!

Im most impressed by her dedication.  Michelle blogs, Vlogs and Posts on Facebook so regularly that you'd think she was never off the computer but she manages to take care of several kids (all ages), clean house and update us all on the status of her hair every single day.

I haven't really been doing instant sweeps anymore.  I just don't have the time to commit to doing them everyday.  I did catch this one from someone on Facebook and went and threw my name in the hat really quickly.  I wound up with a free skinny cow candy coupon!  I actually do buy these regularly so it will surely go to good use!  Thanks Skinny Cow!

WOAH! 1 in 5 finalists!

Semi-win

It isn't a true win, but I still feel like I won something so I wanted to share it!  My friend from high school moved to Florida when we graduated, he recently started a wonderful jewelry business and is just fantastic!  I love all the leather pieces and the simplicity that some of their pieces offer, it means you can wear it with everything!

My wonderful friend mailed me the most beautiful bracelet, it looks like the one below only it's got swarovski crystals on it.  I love it so much I wore it to the gym, lol!  He has a Facebook page and does custom work, so go check them out if you are in the market for men's or women's jewelry.

Creative win# 157!

I love to enter creative giveaways but they often require voting and that makes me hate them with every once of my body, voting contests are hands down the worst thing ever and they are completely unfair in every sense of the word, BUT LET ME TELL YOU HOW I REALLY FEEL!

Well sometimes if you take an extra five minutes to enter a creative giveaway, like this one where The Flairist just wanted to know who your ideal houseguest would be and why.  I was the only one to actually type more than 2 sentences out of almost 90 people.  So obviously I took this one for mine!

here's my entry: "My ideal houseguest would be Martha Stewart. We would make doilies, she would teach me how to properly fold a fitted sheet and together we would make the most amazing beef wellington my family will have ever hoped to taste. In between all of the doilies and properness we’ll secretly discuss prison and how she spruced up her cell and I will educate her on the history of tattoos and abstract expressionism. She’ll be gracious even though I will cut her off often to interject about how one time I made a baby blanket and I learned to use a calligraphy pen to adress my own wedding invitations. Then, when her time closes I will wake up in the morning to fresh squeezed orange juice and a handwritten note on the finest stationary thanking me for letting her be my guest. She will have made the bed, organized my kitchen junk drawers and alphabetized my life. Yes. Yes, martha. You have and always will have an open invitation to my home."

They hold contests like this often and I plan on entering them frequently now that I know how fun they are.  I also can not wait to get this serving set, it's awesome!

Another Facebook win for me, I am really striking gold on Facebook these days.  Handmade with Love by Leah just so happens to be a great friend of mines online store.  She makes scarves, pillows, blankets and some super crafty odds and ends.  I think I am going to either choose a blanket or a wreath from her and I am super stoked of course!  Check her out if you can, she's a local mom and her blankets sell like hotcakes so get em while they're hot!

Update: I got my Wreath in the mail and it is spectacular!  The best thing ever is that we won the Superbowl and I got a Ravens wreath for my front door, we'll be sporting it till next football season!

Win #153!

Natural products Network is a fantastic company that offers natural products at excellent prices and great coupons as well.  They have a Facebook page where they hold many contests and their website is free to use, you just set up an account and you're done!  They held a contest and Posted the first name and last initial of the winner, turns out there were two of us that have that first name and last initial, go figure.  I don't know if I was the true winner or not but the company was kind enough to send us both a prize.  I received a really nice scarf made of recycled plastic bottles and some really sweet affirmation cards.  Thanks to Natural Product network for being so cool to let us both win and also for having such an upstanding company.
