Win #231, a very special and creative win

A friend of mine turned me onto a really cool site that's still in Beta, created by a former google employee that involves art and collecting.  I signed up and it took all of five minutes for me to become addicted to NeonMob.  Basically it's a virtual card collecting club in which all the cards are created in sets and each set is created by a different artist.

Everyday you get free sets to open and you can collect and trade to obtain an entire set.  I have 4 complete sets right now and am working on more.  Each set of cards has a theme and includes chases and variants.

It's like a fancy version of pokemon crossed between Magic the Gathering with a sprinkle of art school all tied together with the magical goo of evaporated spit from mouth breathing nerds.  I love it.

So I have already won just by discovering said website.  Well you all know that when a contest email was sent out to member I had to participate.  I have a good record of winning anything that involves creativity.  Im an artist myself what do you expect?  So basically you had to write a short description for one of the cards in the latest set.  Check out the blog post from NeonMob creator here.  I won runner up and my prize is a very special and rare variant card.  Be jealous nerds, be very jealous.

So if you want to join me please do, sign up and start collecting and trade cards with me, it's fun and why not?  The best part is that it is really only about 5 minutes out of your day, it's not a site you spend hours on and there's no commenting or drama like that.  You don't necessarily interact with other members aside from the trading.  So it's fun, not time consuming and drama free.

Should you want to sign up please use this link:

For every friend I invite I get extra cards, im not selling you for extras either, it's really fun and I would invite you all even if there was no incentive. So what are you waiting for!

Win #221 Radio/creative

I listen to mostly talk radio.  I listen to Jason Ellis on Sirius Satellite radio in the afternoons and as i drive home from work.  So while this design for a T-shirt makes absolutely no sense to you it is actually in perfect context with the show.

The show is a raunchy, no holds barred, sports infused, manly, canada loving kind of show.  I realize that it's pretty diverse just by that brief number of adjectives, jeeze.  So yeah it's basically right up my ally.  Now by Jen Code anything that I participate in in real life that involves a contest I must enter.  So when Jason had a T-shirt contest I for sure threw my hat into that ring.  I designed three but this was my favorite, it stems from a bit they had in which Jason named himself the Great Gazellis while talking about what kind of animal he'd be if he were to swap species.

So I submitted and did not win.  Then they decided to give the top 5 liked shirts on Facebook a consolation prize.  I already had a lot of likes from being one of the first submitters and one of the very select few they actually discussed on live radio.  Well I took the third spot and now eagerly await my box of shwag, will post pictures when it comes to me.

Win #216

I won another giveaway from Dandy!  This time I got some great labels to add to my repertoire.   I still haven't decided if I am getting new daycare labels or something like what is pictured above for myself.

Dandy is the super low entry site that I rave about, I win from them all the time, they usually don't go over 300-400 entries so it's just great odds of winning!

Holy DrySpell Batman! Win #213

I hate dryspells.  It happens from time to time, I mean you can't win them all and sometimes things get so busy you wind up not really entering so much.  I have been using my downtime and lunch hours to do massive amounts of work so that's just what happens, life.

My first win of July though happened to be confirmed yesterday!  Thanks to the Flairist for the amazing necklace!  I have won from them before, what I love about the Flairist are the great stories and articles on young working women and how to advance with class in life and the workplace.  The other thing i love is that the contest are creative, I wrote a haiku to win this one!  The last one I won was an ode to Martha Stewart, lol.

I encourage you to check them out, it is a great blog/site and they just did an upgrade and it looks great!

my haiku if you were interested:

Win #: 201

WOO HOO, the wins just keep rolling in!  I enter Susan's Disney Family blog every single day.  She's got fantastically amazballs daily high value entries for voting for her on picket fence!  I mean come on, one click and you've got 5 more entries every single day.  No wonder I am dominating right?

Well I scored a great ORB Factory win, this one is going into my Christmas gift bin for a few months, I just love cracking it open in October and seeing what I DON'T have to buy that year.

Check out Susan's blog but try not to make more competition for me please.

Win #189

I have so many good things to say about Mar at Obviously MARvelous.  She is a real down to earth chick and she and I share a love of tattoos and alternative parenting.  I really truly identify with her and she is a very sweet person, I have the pleasure of being her Facebook friend along with reading her blog regularly.  She has giveaways that are right up my ally and this one was perfect for me as I have a little wannabe super hero at my house.  He is four and I should have never let him help me customize this cape that I won for him because he has already asked me thirty times when it will be delivered.

So thanks a lot MAR!  Now I have to hear about this super hero cape for the next few weeks or until it arrives at our house, lol!  If you have time go check out Mar and enter her contest will ya!

Creative win# 157!

I love to enter creative giveaways but they often require voting and that makes me hate them with every once of my body, voting contests are hands down the worst thing ever and they are completely unfair in every sense of the word, BUT LET ME TELL YOU HOW I REALLY FEEL!

Well sometimes if you take an extra five minutes to enter a creative giveaway, like this one where The Flairist just wanted to know who your ideal houseguest would be and why.  I was the only one to actually type more than 2 sentences out of almost 90 people.  So obviously I took this one for mine!

here's my entry: "My ideal houseguest would be Martha Stewart. We would make doilies, she would teach me how to properly fold a fitted sheet and together we would make the most amazing beef wellington my family will have ever hoped to taste. In between all of the doilies and properness we’ll secretly discuss prison and how she spruced up her cell and I will educate her on the history of tattoos and abstract expressionism. She’ll be gracious even though I will cut her off often to interject about how one time I made a baby blanket and I learned to use a calligraphy pen to adress my own wedding invitations. Then, when her time closes I will wake up in the morning to fresh squeezed orange juice and a handwritten note on the finest stationary thanking me for letting her be my guest. She will have made the bed, organized my kitchen junk drawers and alphabetized my life. Yes. Yes, martha. You have and always will have an open invitation to my home."

They hold contests like this often and I plan on entering them frequently now that I know how fun they are.  I also can not wait to get this serving set, it's awesome!
